Reducing our environmental impact is at the heart of our mission. Since the beginning, quality, wellbeing, and spreading VSG brand values and visions has been our priority. We believe that solving sustainability challenges is good business and the right thing to do.

At VSG, our focus is on innovation and delivering a consistent and unprecedented customer experience while demonstrating care for our employees, the community and the environment. In doing so, the company is committed to reducing its overall impact on the environment while encouraging and activating environmentally responsible behavior on the part of all employees and the broader community.

Our commitment to reducing the impact on the planet begins with our own operations to build a culture of ‘zero harm’ in all we do. We’re on our way to building a zero-harm culture by implementing an environmental program and system that will encourage responsibility and accountability for environmental care. And we continue to review our operations with a lens reducing the environmental impact from the inside of our company and out.

Our company-wide Sustainability Strategy guides our approach and ensures that we are investing in a more sustainable future for both VSG and our partners.

Our business is based on creating products that stand the test of time in terms of quality and design. Sustainability is thus at the heart of our operations; through our products, we want to be part of building a more sustainable future.

By making sustainable products, we are supporting a circular economy, but in many ways we are also creating opportunities for a better everyday life. For us, personnel safety and wellbeing are important, but we also understand our impact on people more broadly. We want to do our part to raise awareness of environmental impacts and the circular economy opportunities and to increase the transparency in our sector.

PRODUCTION

At our VSG production sites, we try to keep environmental impact to the minimum. By owning all of the production sites where the equipment is build, we can oversee the stages of production and keep a pulse on the quality of our fitness equipment and the wellbeing of our teams.

MADE TO LAST

Our products are ‘Made to last’. We not only want our customers to enjoy their VSG fitness equipment for a long time, but also help to ensure that fewer products are thrown away. That’s why we strive to provide spare parts for many of our products – over a long period of time.

PACKAGING

We source and incorporate sustainable materials, compostable plastic, FSC carton boxes, and recycled fabrics anywhere we can. Reducing and stopping the amount of plastic and other environmentally unfriendly materials is an important goal of ours. We also avoid the use of composite materials.

WATER

Do you know 97.5% of the world’s water is locked in seas and oceans, too salty for human use? Water is one of the most precious resources and VSG is dedicated to keeping our water clean and our planet blue! We water audit our facility and office to find out recommended water use and monitor bills to gauge monthly consumption.

CARBON FOOTPRINT

VSG works with suppliers and shipping partners that have signed a Code of Conduct entailing the respect of the environment, health, and safety measures. By working to implement our environmental philosophy in all facets of our brand, we can work together to reduce our carbon footprint and resource waste.

ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION

VSG aims to reduce the emissions not only in our production sites but also in the office of Taiwan. We cap our electricity usage with energy efficient appliances in our facilities and offices and ask our colleague to adjust their day-to-day behaviors. We are working on optimizing production resources to go toward reducing energy waste.
